Barrow 6-1 Argosy, cracking start to the new season for Barrow, some games could have gone either way, & alway's a good night with the Argosy lads.

McCluskeys 1-6 Spondon Liberal

I was the one that lost and i would have snatched it out of anyones hands before the match. The score line did flatter us immensley but thats pool for you. Well done lads, great start to the season, very sorry for McCluskeys as they are much better than the score suggests, just hope no one goes there expecting an easy walk over, it probably wont happen again this season.

Is that McCluskey's KW or McCluskey's as in The mighty, johnny G etc, if it's the latter it's a massive result.

Does this mean I can enter Coro HS 2-5 Cornishman A on as a result?  If so, good start for the Cornishman A..

Anybody have any problems with the new rules, like forgetting to touch the cush etc?

Yep, really good start for the Barrow lads.  All played really well and had a good night, well played the Argosy lads as 6-1 was harsh on them...

Looks like our match next week at the the Spondon Lib is an early season title contender match  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

Well it sounds good, I love early league tables...

Don't be too disheartened mate, a lot of teams srtuggle at the Barrow cos of their tabe. At least you've got that one out of the way. I think by the end of the season you'll appreciate how good these rules are, more attacking with less fudgy fudgy.

In all honesty if the division was that good you wouldnt see much fudgy fudgy play anyway. As for the touch cushion rule, 90% of the time you would hit a cushion anyway in any rules so it shouldnt be difficult to get used to. Because it sticks in the mind that you have to do it it seems to make it more of an issue.

Daz i will bet that you dont hit a cushion 90% of the time, it stops rolling up to balls, no matter what division you are in and how good you are if you can get a snooker (that might be the only shot on) you will go for it. This stops you. You also have this envious aurorer about the "PREM" but in all the years you have played pool i dont think you have ever played in the prem. Maybe if you did then your points about how good players in the prem are would be valid.
