The signed card for this result has the score as 4-3 to the Loudon.
In the final game our player potted his last red and the black in the same shot but since the black dropped first the ref called a foul. After some debate we agreed to sign the card with the understanding that we would ask a comittee member for a ruling on the shot. We have now been told that so long as the object ball (in this case the red) is struck first the skill shot rule still applies regardless of which order the balls drop in - so the result should be 4-3 to the Needles. |
Just been checking the results on-line and this score is still reading as the Loudon 4 - 3 Needles. Could we get this corrected please?? |

Queried a ruling with John Attridge on Monday night and we actually won 6 - 1.
The last two balls on the table were our last yellow and the black, both of which were hanging over corner pockets. As our player took his shot and potted his yellow the black dropped without being touched. John confirmed that so long as the balls were already in motion when the black dropped this is a legal shot under the skill shot rule.
. . . . . . Thats two arguments we've had about the skill shot rule on the black this season.!! |
et al 1 - 6 Needles.
The on-line results aren't showing this match although I posted the result on here and handed the card in at the last meeting. Could we get the results updated please? |

Lots of stats to do but he has been very busy lately, it would be easier if teams did there own stats, when he gets chance they will be done |

Greyhound V Lyndhurst Bar (at the Lyndhurst), Greyhound 6, Lyndhurst 1 (simon)
Another much needed win coming to the end of the season and all played well (nearly everyone!). Callum yet again had the luck of a paddy with his player missing the black completely, twice, lucky swine! |

Ive updated our results/stats from our recent matches but for the cards i sent in to Del obviously i now dont have those stats and we are missing player stats from the following matches:
Jun 25: Courtyard C 4-3 Crescent
July 2: The Mitre 2-5 Courtyard C
July 9: Courtyard C 3-4 Lyndhurst Bar
Aug 13: Courtyard C 3-4 Coronation SB
The Crescent and Mitre cards were definitely sent in as i posted them myself, cant say for the Lyndhurst/Coronationn matches as their captains took those cards.
Also there is a question mark over the following 2 matches:
Aug 28: Loudon Arms 3-4 Courtyard C
The following 3 Loudon players arent registered: D.Hanscomb (lost), R.O'Connor (won), R.Scannell (lost)
Sept 3: Et-Al Club 4-3 Courtyard C
The following Et-Al players arent registered: K.Singh (won), R.Bandell (won), R.Rawkem (won)
Wasnt a rule voted in, by the players, at the AGM that teams cant play unregistered players? It could be an oversight but we play by the rules so everyone else should or be penalised according to the rules or whats the point in having rules? |

Im sure Dave (It Rolled Off) will answer that question mate. I can update all E Division results/stats.
Obviously with so many teams in the league its difficult for Del and Dave to be pin-point upto date so id imagine the more captains that help out the better.
The outstanding cards i mentioned in my last post must be with Del so hopefully he can update them before tonight's meeting so the stats can go onto the league tables sheets handed out tonight. I know my own stats read 10 wins 3 losses online but it should read 14-3. |

Courtyard C 6-1 Red Cow B
Nice win for us after a jittery few performances lately. After going one down the visitors had chances in a couple of frames but think we deserved the win.
Our rearranged match against Greyhound, from July, is next week. |

Greyhound V Needles (at the greyhound). greyhound 4, Needles 3
A win is a win but should have been more. There were some cries of a deliberate foul though but nothing called. Also some players should watch there bridging and if they do foul at least have the guts to own up to it! |
